What is TEN TIMES BETTER?
TEN TIMES BETTER is the theme we have chosen for our youth group. It is based on the story of Daniel. Daniel was taken captive to Babylon as a youth and yet, he remained faithful to God. Though that put him in many pressured situations, God blessed him for it. After one such situation, King Nebuchadnezzar himself found that Daniel and his three friends had an outcome that was, “Ten times better” than those who compromised with the king. (Dan. 1:20)
We believe that a life lived for God will also be blessed, not because we are better than others, but because God’s way is better. We believe that a young person can experience a real relationship with God, and that as they follow God, they will find God’s way is blessed.
TEEN MEETING
Every Wednesday at 7:00pm, we meet together in room 304 for games, challenges, and most importantly, preaching. This is the heartbeat of our youth group, as we look into the Word of God and apply it to each teen’s life. We love having guests! You are sure to feel welcome as our teens have a heart for others. Will you come join us?
SUMMER TRIPS
Each summer our youth group loves taking trips to summer camp and teen retreat. These events are the highlight of our year. Teen Camp has been a great experience as we get to fellowship with other likeminded youth groups and be challenged by great preaching. Our youth retreat is a special time away with just our youth group, where each teen is challenged to personally walk with their God.
MONTHLY ACTIVITIES
Every month, we plan an activity designed for fellowship and encouragement with something for everyone. Some of our teens favorite activities have been ice skating, overnight camping, all-nighters, and anything to do with food.
